Very Long Time...

I know I know...it's been awhile. Well we had a good summer but now summer is looooong gone. It's cold. There is usually snow by now though which is kinda nice. Let's see what has happened since July. In August I turned 33 :(...oh well. October 14th Michael and I celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary. Unfortunately Michael wasn't even home. He was out of town on a job in Eagle, Alaska. In the spring the town flooded and ice destroyed most of the town. Michael and the rest of his crew at Williams Scotsman drove one of their office trailers up there to be used as a clinic. This was a big story here because there are some real treacherous roads on the way to Eagle and a lot of people were telling them that it couldn't be done. Well my hubby took that as a challenge and his boss, Mike Frizzell, told them if anyone can do it "Mikey" can. So off they went with 3 pilot cars (one with a plow) and a wrecker (just in case). It took them 2 days to get there and I believe he said it was about 500 miles to Eagle. Well they did it and the people who live in Eagle were very grateful. See they had one of those huge tents that they were using as a clinic and let me tell you from looking at the pictures I would never been seen in that thing. And this is what our tax dollars were paying for. Ridiculous. Well the story about the trip to Eagle and them taking the clinic there was on the local news and we were very proud of our boys. Most of you have already seen the news story but if you didn't here is the link... New 10-ton Clinic Makes it to Eagle!
So to say the least we are very proud of our guys for making it happen!! Here are a few pictures.

Halloween was fun for Little Michael. He was a pirate. He went trick or treating with his cousins and went to a Halloween Party and he had a blast. He wanted to go with his cousins so we spent the evening with my Mom and her boyfriend Keven who were in town visiting before they went to Adak. Here is Michael in his costume.

He was so cute. He was saying "Aaargh...Trick or Treat". What a ham. Him and his Grandma Violet made a spooky gingerbread house.

Michael also started preschool this year. He LOVES it. He wants to go everyday, but he goes three days a week. He is doing so good and is very smart.

So Halloween is over and now we are off and running getting ready for the holidays. Michael is trying to perfect a fudge recipe and he makes the best peanut brittle. Yummy! We hope you all had a wonderful summer and Halloween and for those of you in Washington...see you in June....oh yeah.......WE BOUGHT OUR TICKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am excited...can you tell? hehe...
We will be in Quincy from June 25th to July 11th. Hope we get to see all of you for the 4th of July at Dads. Love ya all.

Long time.....

I can't believe it's been since January that I posted on my blog. My bad. Since January the hubby celebrated his birthday on Valentines Day. Michael is the new Service Manager at his job. Michael turned 4 on April 1st. He is growing up so fast. He loves to learn, like a little sponge. He is writing now and can spell STOP. He knows all his shapes and can write all his letters and numbers. He is always surprising me. He loves to sing and dance. Wonder where he gets that from.
We had some really nice weather this summer. It has been raining off and on the last week but it's still pretty warm. We even had a couple days in the 80s. Amazing. Loved it.
The end of May we made the annual trip to Homer to Memorial Weekend/Hope's Birthday and spent 5 days on the boat. Loved it. Caught some halibut and enjoyed the family. Michael and his Grandma got a huge halibut which was amazing because we were in a cove just hanging out after clam digging on shore. Here is a picture of the infamous halibut.

The 4th of July we went to the Wasilla parade and we had a bbq in the afternoon. The 4th is pretty quiet around here.
My father in law bought Little Michael a Mini Chopper. He loves it.

We've been enjoying friends and family coming out from Anchorage to visit us. Lots of bonfires and barbecues. Hopefully someday soon my family can make it back up. Hint Hint!!! ;) Well in the next coming months we are looking forward to the State Fair and my birthday in August. Hopefully we get some good weather.
Hope all is well for everyone and we love and miss everyone.
